Summary

Multiplication Master is a children's educational app that helps kids learn multiplication facts. Your child's data never leaves your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information.

What Information Does the App Store?

The app stores the following information locally on your device only:

• Child's name — entered by a parent or guardian to identify the learning profile
• Avatar selection — the animal character your child chooses
• Learning progress — which multiplication facts have been practiced, mastery levels, and response times
• Session history — dates and results of practice sessions (up to 300 sessions per profile)

This information is used solely to power the app's learning algorithm (spaced repetition) and display progress to the child and parent.

What Information Do We NOT Collect?

We do not collect, transmit, or have access to:

• Email addresses, phone numbers, or physical addresses
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers (IDFA, GAID, or similar)
• Photos, videos, or audio recordings
• Browsing history or usage analytics
• Any data from other apps on your device

There are no analytics tools, advertising networks, crash reporters, or third-party tracking SDKs in this app. The app does not connect to the internet and functions entirely offline.

How Is Data Stored?

All data is stored as a local file on your device. The app uses standard device storage — the same location where other apps store their settings. Data is not encrypted beyond what the device operating system provides, as it never leaves your device.

How Can I Delete My Child's Data?

You have two options:

• In-app deletion: Go to Settings → For Parents (requires parental verification) → Delete Profile. This permanently removes all data for that child's profile.
• Uninstall the app: Removing the app from your device deletes all stored data.

There is no server-side data to delete because we never collect it.

Parental Controls

Access to sensitive features is protected by a parental verification gate:

• How it works: A 3-digit number is displayed as words (e.g., "five hundred and twelve"). The parent types the digits to proceed.
• What it protects: Deleting profiles, resetting progress, and accessing the detailed parent dashboard.
• Anti-bypass: 3 attempts allowed, then a 30-second cooldown before trying again.

This gate does not collect or store any additional information.

Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Multiplication Master is designed for children ages 6–9. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• We do not collect personal information from children online.
• We do not transmit any data to servers or third parties.
• We do not use persistent identifiers for tracking purposes.
• All data remains on your device under your control.

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

For users in the European Union and European Economic Area:

• Legal basis for processing: Legitimate interest — the app processes minimal data locally to provide its core educational function.
• Data controller: The data remains on your device. We do not act as a data controller in the traditional sense, as we never receive or access the data.
• Your rights: You have the right to access (view your child's data directly in the app), rectify (change name/avatar in Settings), and erase (delete profile in Settings) your child's data at any time.
• Data transfers: No data is transferred outside your device, so no cross-border transfer mechanisms are needed.

Third-Party Services

Multiplication Master does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The app's dependencies are limited to open-source libraries for UI rendering, navigation, and local storage. None of these libraries transmit data.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
